Bad News:

There will only be 1 Card anymore: movie_bigcover.htm
All others i have deleted!

Good News:

The Card Versions (Slideshow/Normal/Limited/Simplified) can now be selected via the new Page Preferences Dialog.

The new rating bar looks great but I have noticed that if the film has no rating, then the studio picture does not show. Has anyone else got this problem?
Thanks

Yes, that's intention. So you can directly see that there is no rating existent. If rating = 0 then the bar appears.
How it is solved in Prinz's new version - I don't know. But we will see in surely soon!!!

One Question:

Which Version of the Card should I set as the default (for new users of the Card)? (Slideshow/Normal/Limited/Simplified)

As the name already says: Normal.

First Page Preferences Version. I hope I didn't forget a changed file in the zip-file.

Loading and Saving of Preferences is done via Clipboard. Of Course the Data must be saved via a Editor (example: Notepad)...

The Preferences are normally saved as Cookies, the save/load function is only to transfer the Preferences from PC to another or reload them if you deleted your cookies, etc.

G R E A T !!!

Only one thing that's a little annoying: if studio and distributor pics are side by side some pics (studio) are at the top of the biggest height and some (distributor) are at the bottom. Please center them all vertically or adjust them both at top or bottom.

In order to achieve what is possible, you have to try the impossible over and over again.

- Added explicit local valign to studio/distributer table cells, because IE ignores head valign...

(Did I mention that I hate the IE ? )

Who doesn't? *lol*

Still missing: the series status thingy. Or do I have been blinded by the new improved card? And the _MOVIE_ORIGINAL_ var will work in next release. Maybe you can add it similar to my try to implement both data.

Another suggestion: if rating is not empty but 0 then remove the empty rating bar and the 0 value

*Edit* Or doesn't it show because of the old version I "use" here @work?

Blinded

I add it when it's working. But don't exactly know what this "Original" suppose to mean.

If the field is empty it's not shown... 0 is a rating in my "book", it means the movie is total sh.. it's the absolute worst rating.

Well, for your personal rating... but on official ratings, too?

Ok, I'm blinded - please open my eyes! Or it's really because of the old XMM version.

_MOVIE_ORIGINAL_ = true => movie is not a remake of an older movie.
Examples: Battlestar Galactica, The Andromeda Strain, Das Ding aus einer anderen Welt, Ein Köder für die Bestie, etc...

And last but not least: maybe this can help you to save the card settings locally beside the cookie. http://www.jstorage.info/

Of course. If for example 10 of 10 is a rating 0 of 10 is also a rating. If some site has 0 for not rated the script should import nothing...

Don't have the old version, but it's there:

Don't see any benefits for a local site in this...

Haven't had a deep look at that site. But I have read:

Add some values and refresh the page - if your browser supports storing local data, then the values should survive the page refresh.

Cookies are only read once the first time after the start of XMM the movie card is loaded. After that all Data is stored in Session Variables until the next session.

I know that.
I only have thought of the case that all cookies are deleted and to find a solution for the save/load settings via clipboard.
Another try: can't it be done by a vb-script or .hta?

Of course you could add a "hack" so that javascript could read/write to the local filesystem, but all these thing make more Problems then there are worth. (For example all these need special permissions set by the user in IE)

What is so complicated to save/load the clipboard content? Normally you don't load/save the preferences every day or so...

Surely, but I know that a few users are "user only".
Nothing said against them but in some cases you have to begin at Adam & Eve
So I have always tried to protect against any possible SUE (Stupid User Errors). Of which I make too much by myself, too!

*Edit*
Well, why not saving the prefs by XMM itself? Should be easy to implement for Ale!

AKA title is missing
After showing the side preferences one time I can't open them again. Even after restarting XMM !!!

All working here. That sound like javascript is throwing an error somewhere at the beginning, after that the rest of the javascript isn't executed anymore.

Did you change the InsertImages.js or any other js file? Because if there is a error in that file the rest of the javascript code isn't executed anymore.

So first I need to know what did you set in the preferences?

Or maybe I have forgotten a file in the archive... I will look again...
