Hi Alessio,
I posted some bugs, but here is some ideas to keep in mind. Please let us know what you think.
Keyboard keys and shortcuts should work as expected: f3 for Search f5 for Refresh (Grid or active window) Del for Delete of selected entry in Grid or cover in Cover Manager. Home for first entry in Grid (or at least Ctrl+Home) End for last entry in Grid (or at least Ctrl+End)
Consider also: Ctrl+P, Ctrl+N, etc.
Find Duplicates should have options: [Exact] [Similar] Examples: it should be able to relate [The Fall] with [Fall, The] and [Baby Doll] with [Babydoll] It also needs an "exclude" function ("Do not show this film again), because if I have two entries with the same name and I want to keep them, it should remember that I allowed it.
Copy contents of "Field X" to "Field Z" - it should work with any two fields.
Multiple Delete contents of "Field X" (any field).
Drag and drop of images should be allowed in Cover Manager from a web page. Also: Drag and drop from one entry to another.
When the CV window opens, the first image should be automatically selected. Selecting more than one images in a VV entry should be possible (to delete at once) Keyboard "Enter" should be available to close the CV window.
Allow "Change Field Content" by dragging a Grid entry to a different Group in Treeview.
Decide Max Number of backups to keep.

Some fixes in v. 7.0.2.7, thank you for: F3, Del in Grid
NOTE: F5 still refreshes the content with script. I suggested it should refresh the Grid or HTML page.
NOTE: Refreshing the grid takes us back to the beginning of the grid again. It should focus on the selected entry (or the next, after DEL). |

Great with F5; a pity with Del though, but it doesn't really matter.
CTRL-P would be for Print and CTRL-N for a new entry, nothing serious, really.
I would much rather see your effort going to a more streamlined Cover Manager (The CV above should be CM, sorry), with the ability to manage the pics via the keyboard, it's so much faster. |
