Didn't have any problems with DEMO version. However, after I paid money uninstalled the demo version. Downloaded the full verison registered. Now I get this message: JPG Save Error ! Can't open file for writing: C:\eXtreme Movie Manager 1.1\covers\Dogville.jpg. I even deleted all covers that were previously downloaded. I get the same error message.
As I see your path to covers is wrong. Default path for covers is C:\Program Files\eXtreme Movie Manager\Covers\Dogville.jpg. This path as you have written is for exporting purposes and doesn't contain a Covers directory, unless if you purposly move or create it.
However, when you install EMM or create new database you mut tell EMM where to look for covers (in which directory). You can do this by clicking on Tools -> Configuration -> Directories and in field under covers search for your directory which contains your pics.
Thanks I had discovered that just prior to checking on this forum. Everything is working OK for me now. What threw me off was I have had some problems with programs because my local drive is not C: and so I changed the drive letter to the appropriate letter. And I still got the same error message. But I didnt' think this was the cause of this problem. Does anyone have any ideas how to change my drive letter back to C: without reinstalling windows? Thanks again for your prompt response.
Windows XP doesn't allow you to change the systemdrive partition thru the "Disk Manager" like you can with other partitions and CD/DVD players. But yes it is possible but not a "riskfree" way (Before even thinking about trying you should backup all your data.)
First of all when you installed Windows did you install it to C? You should only try to change the drive letter of a partition that has Windows on it back to what it originally was. So if you didn't install to C then I suggest you keep it that way or reinstall Windows to C.
If you didn't and installed Windows to for example E, then continued and installed the programs that are now having problems then it's probably not Windows fault. It's probably due to the programs you try to run and you should solve the problems with the individual programs that aren't working like they should instead of trying to change the systemdrive.
