Is it possible to have XMM connect to a database over the internet.
I'm hosting my onw website and would like to install XMM on different pc's and still be able to connect to the same database (with covers).

Hi Alessio,
Maybe it's a good idea to create a database driven website and put it in the installer.
This way, if a user has a website, he/she can select this feature to be installed and all the XMM database info will be available via the internet.
Basicly it's like one of the html moviecards, but now with an active database connection.
Having said this, I also conclude a problem: with scripting language to use (PHP or ASP.NET). Since I like/know ASP.NET, I would say ASP.NET, but every non-Microsoft based computer isn't capable of running ASP.NET (not yet) and PHP isn't running well on every Microsoft based computer.
So maybe, if possible, the website could be created in both languages and have the user select wich one to install.
Since one of the respected members allready made an ASP.NET website for XMM, it shouldn't be a problem to adjust it to XMM's needs.
Or if you create an html template, I can see if I can create an ASP.NET page for it.
Please, let me know what you think of this idea.
