There is a field Cover on the Files tab of the dialog "ADD/EDIT Movie File"

Would it be possible to add a button "Browse" next to this field, so that the user would be able to navigate through an Explorer-style listing, to find a file to be entered in the Cover field ?

Hi,

You can already do this, there are buttons directly at top of the cover picture, to add it from clipboard, load from file, extract from movie etc...
