Hello all,

Has anyone tried XMM with Windows 7?

I have it running on the RC, I find it is generally a lot slower than on Vista and crashes often. Running it in winxp compatibility mode and "as an administrator" does seem to change this fact.

Anyone had a similar problem and would be interested to share their solution?

Thanks!

Hi,

Please be sure that the configuration is the same, I mean that also in windows 7 you DO NOT SHOW the actors pictures in the HTML Card.

Let me know,

Alessio

I switched to a HTML card which doesn't show the actors. It helps. But it'll still get crashes sometimes. Here's the error message I get:

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Hi,

Sorry for my late reply! Next time it happens can you please write me the movie that gives you problem? Have you import it from IMDB?

I don't necessarily get this bug while importing a movie. Often, I open the program, watch a movie and while I'm watching it XMM will crash in the background. I tried loading the example database, it doesn't look like it crashes. Perhaps my database is too big?

I think that some movies contains wrong html caracters, this is why you get the javascript error.

I am trying to avoid it...

Thank you!

Ale

That's too bad I didn't notice when it started happening. Is there any way for me to find and remove the culprit?

I'm downloading the new version now. Perhaps it'll help?

Thanks!
