Hi, I also posted this here in the German section, but the chance is much better to get a response here :) => The title-search seeems to pass just the normal title-field, not both (title and original) like it did in the old version. Is this a bug and when will ir be fixed, if its one.
Thanks for the response, Cubi |

Like I wrote, I posted this thing in the german section and no answers came after weeks and weeks, i got a little bit angry because i bought this program and just an answer of my question should be possible. Someone said it could be because I posted in the wrong section (german one) and the english bug section should help me more, because the developer are non-germans. He was right and I posted it here...with the same result. Sorry guys I know you have a lot things to do, but I think a little response is something a customer can expect.

Sorry, never saw it....when you do a title search, are you talking about looking for a movie or looking to update one you have? There are settings in each script to "tweak" the search if you are updating, and I have never noticed any problems with doing a title search on my database?

I meant searching a title in an existing database. I remember it was possible (version >7) to enter either the title or the original title (sometimes different in Germany) in the box to find the movie. I recognized that it doesn´t find anything now by entering a original title in the box (when differs), so I just want to aks, if this is normal or not. It has not to be a bug, maybe my system can also be the reason for this behavour. What I could do to make him search other variables, but I think its illogical, when this really doesnt work with the normal search box. I hope you understand now, what I meant.
Thanks for the reply, Cubi |

I just tried on mine to do a search on the title and it works fine. If the "original" title (the second field) is different, it still finds it by the title. It will not find it by the second field. So the search is only on the one field which is what should be expected. You can add the column for original title to the grid and sort by it, or you can use the filter option to find a movie under there. You could use the advanced filter to only show certain words too? Does that help? |
