It would be even better if sort worked on ANY field of data. Better still if we could sort based on multiple fields.

Hi Mike,
The problem at this time is only for fields with pictures, like Personal Rating Image, because if you show the field "personalrating", that is a number, you can sort it without problems.
You can also sort multiple fields, just right-click on the column you want sort and select the sort mode, then go in another column, right-click, and select again the sort mode...and so on...

I am confused, does that mean PersonalRatings can be sorted later or it can't? I assume that although it is displaying an image of stars, there is a number value assigned to the data?

Hi,
Sorry for my english, is terrible.
You can show in the grid 2 field
PersonalRating that is numeric
PersonalRatingStars that is the one with "stars", that are bitmap
At this time is not possible sort a field that contains bitmaps, but you can sort the PersonalRating field if you add to grid.
I hope you understand my bad english

There are two columns available for the gridview that relate to Personal Ratings. "PersonalRatingStars" is NOT sortable, but "PersonalRating" is. PersonalRating is the numeric equivalent of the number of stars times 2. So 5 stars is a rating of 10 and 4 1/2 stars is 9.
