So I have a question about scripts. Assuming a script pulls all the correct #TAKE...# functions out of the #ACTORDATA# block, where is the part that saves data in between actor imports?

If I am importing 3 actors, the script runs three times and each time it puts actor data into the same variables. Where are the instructions that tells XMM to save these out into the correct actor database entry before overwriting with the next actor's info?

Is that in the script, or in the engine?

I am working on trying to figure out why the IAFD actors script puts all imported data from multiple actors into one actor entry, and I can't figure it out.

Also, where does the program know to add actors to the actor database? Because that works fine with the imdb script but not the adultdvdempire script.

Hi,

The instruction is the #ADDACTOR#, that puts actors in the database of Actors.

You can use it also for directors

My other question was, when importing data for multiple actors (not movies) at once, where are the instructions to sort that data into the database entries?

With the IAFD actor script, if you select 3 actors and import the data from web, it combines the data from all three entries into one database slot. So if you have actors A, B and C, it'll take the data from all 3, compile them on top of each other, and put them on actor C.
