I've had the same problem after updating to 6.7.9. I did a few movies with it and then now it just hangs when getting movie info(magicengine just stops and no more bytes being received). I'm using windows xp 32 bit Os. There is plenty of hd space. And nothing has changed but the update and the scripts update. There's really nothing to take a screen shot of, the little box comes up it gets data from the script and sits there. If you exit it says that the script has not stopped running stop it or wait. The main scripts i use are IMDB and amazon.com full. The database has 371 movies in it, and i'm trying to add 372nd. I've compacted and repaired the database. Also my EMM Folder size is 865mb(908,049,268) and size on disk is 879mb(922,095,616) containing 8119 files in 483 folders. It looks like the file is .01KB away from the size it needs to be to load the graph with the script choices. I went back to 6.7.3.0 installed as a fresh copy in another dir, and it did the same thing still.

I am having the same issue. I just got this program and imported the film from a drive search and that worked fine. The I opened the database up in Access and added the direct link info for imdb in the hopes it could use that and i wouldn't have to manually select which link. The first few movie imported the data just fine but then it just stopped working. It opens the little box, and then it opens the grid but it does not import anything. Any help with this would be great. |

I uninstalled EMM, and then deleteded the folder out of my documents. I reinstalled EMM and tried to add a movie and it did the same thing. Opened the little box, opened the grid, and did nothing. I tried several different scripts and all got the same result. |

a caveat to the earlier note. When i click the "Internet" button at the top it used to open the magic scrip import engine window. Now the window no longer opens but it still appears on my task bar as though it has. I have to right click it to close it. |

Hi,
For the window minimized in the taskbar, if you right click on it and select "maximize" or "restore" it should come back again.
Please do another thing, reset the configuration of XMM. There is an option in the Options menu (or delete this key in window registry: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\eXtremeMovieManager)
Please let me know,

Thanks, that worked. I did the options menu instead of messing with the registry.
