I'm having major problems with Popcorn Movie Portal too. It simply won't work, as it doesn't like certain fields in my XMM db, and always crashes. Plus, its only HD, and so doesn't support my current TV even if it did work.
Having this functionality on my Popcorn would be incredible, but the only way I can do that right now is to switch to another db format such as PVD or Collectorz.
Alessio, could you provide some timeframe as to when you would be incorporating the html database for NMTs? It seems you're already halfway there with the xHTML database, it would just require reformatting in such a way as Popcorn Movie Portal has done, and would hopefully work better ;) Also, please consider an SD option if applicable.

It also does not work for me. Supposedly (to the forum) there is a memory problem. When I try to use this plugin the memory usage spikes towards the 2GB and it ends with an out of memory error. |

The Popcorn Movie Portal looks like it's a nice way to get the EMM database onscreen, but I don't have an internat HD in my PCH as of yet. That's why i use the jukebox named Kroozebox by Nono. He has also made a template/plugin for EMM and this works very nicely for me. I run both EMM and Kroozebox on my HP Mediasmart server, and the PCH gets a nice GUI with posters, plots, ratings and a link to play the files from server. It is still kinda rough and only a beta, but it's worth trying out. |
