Hi Alessio,

I want to get the pictures and plot (synopsis) only from DVDEmpire, and everything else from IMDB.

But incase the movie doesn't exist at DVDEmpire, I want to get all of the info from IMDB first, and then replace the plot(synopsis) from DVDEmpire if the movie is found.

So I have a chain setup to get the all of the info from IMDB first using "IMDB.COM (Complete).txt", with all of the items in "Fields to import with selected script" checked.

Then a script using "DVDEMPIRE.COM(DVD).txt" with only Plot and Pictures checked.

In EMM's options, I turned OFF "When importing Add New Values Only to Blank Fields" so that the DVDEmpire Plot will overwrite whatever was put in from IMDB.

Now here's the problem:

-If I run the DVDEMPIRE.COM(DVD).txt import script only on its own, it gets the full plot properly.

-But when it is run in the chain like this, the exact same script only gets part of the plot, not the whole thing.

For example, I imported "Toy Story 2" and selected "Toy Story 2: 2 Disc Special Edition" from the choices.

On its own, the DVDEmpire script puts in the following plot:

"Just Released From The Vault! Limited Time Only!

A Golden Globe Award winner for Best Picture, Toy Story 2 has become a favorite all across the world, garnering praise from fans and critics everywhere. It's "an instant classic," raves New York Magazine. Now in a 2-disc collector's edition with a sparkling new picture and spectacular home theater mix, this groundbreaking animated adventure is even better!

While Andy is away at summer camp, Woody is toynapped by AI, a greedy collector who needs Andy's favorite toy to complete his Roundup Gang collection. Together with Jessie, Bullseye and the Prospector, Woody is on his way to a museum where he'll spend the rest of his life behind glass. It's up to Buzz, Mr. Potato Head, Hamm, Rex and Slinky Dog to rescue their friend and remind him what being a toy is all about.

Bursting with exclusive bonus features, including deleted scenes, outtakes, a new game and much more, this hilarious comedy classic raises the bar on family entertainment to infinity and beyond. "

*****BUT IN THE CHAIN IT ONLY PUTS IN THE FIRST LINE:

"Just Released From The Vault! Limited Time Only!"

All of the rest is missing. Could you please fix it so that the script puts the same info in the field whether it's run on its own or from a chain?

(I am using the latest version of the program and the scripts, checked with Liveupdate)

Many thanks
The REAL Joe

More info - I tried the other way around too (IE, DVDEmpire first in the chain, then IMDB) and for a number of different movies, and it does the same thing every time:

-When used on its own, DVDEmpire imports the whole plot/synopsis

-When used in a chain, DVDEmpire only imports the first line of text from the plot

Cheers,

Alessio,

Any chance of fixing this in the next release? This annoyance is holding me back on entering a large number of movies, I was hoping to use the script-chain feature but wanted to wait till it's fixed. I know you're busy with other requests, but if you at least had an ETA for when this might be fixed, I could be hopeful?

Many thanks

*Please* Alessio, I'm begging now.

Can you *please* fix this problem? It still persists after months and several updates. I'd be grateful if you could take care of it.

Many thanks!

Alessio,

Please!!!

I reported this back in JANUARY (2009) and after 10 months and numerous update releases the bug is STILL THERE!

Can you PLEASE fix this before you consider adding any more new features? It's frustrating when more and more features get added but existing bugs get ignored!

Thank you
The REAL Joe

Hi,

Please sorry very much!

I am not ignoring you, but simply I haven't find the way to fix it yet.

I will work more deeply on this problem next days.
