Hello Alessioviti.

I did had no problems until now. I do have the newest update of your program , and did try to ad a lot of movies which are located on my DVico media player. Scanning the drive did work fine. Importing also. But even after several new runs with collecting info over the internet, no covers at all are shown in the movie cards. However in the card a file is shown for a cover! Searching all my hard drives for the files did not find any wrongly placed cover! This makes me believe that no cover at all has been downloaded.
Furthermore, after moving all my previously added movies ( around another 1000 ) to my media player I did try to use the movie file manager utility. I did navigate to the old and the new file locations ( so there is no possible typing error in the paths) but the prog only did move a part of the files to the new location. So I did try again now not over the network, but over an usb connection to the player. This did move another part. No way to get all of them showing in the right place!
Please advise
Rob

Hi Bruens,

I will start to speak about covers: all covers should be under the subfolder of your database called "_cover". Please check if the files are here. And check also if the field "cover" is filled up with a file name or not.

Hello again

Until now the files were always correctly stored in the database under "covers". Up to no 920 they are still there. New covers are mentioned in the quick edit view, including the id number, correctly in the "cover" folder ( in the Dutch installation this is called "hoes"on this line) but even the windows search function can't find them. They also are not copied in the movie folder! I can't find a possibility to force the prog to actually download the cover.
Greetings

Rob

I have the same problem! When i import one movie - for example "Keinohrhasen" with the "OFDB.DE" Script (Picture Button Activated) - the script adds all the text information but the image wasn't shown...

BUT: In the "tempdir" Folder, i can find the picture from the movie "called" buffercover.jpg

Last end there is no cover in the "_cover" folder! I've done all the updates and the problem is still at all scripts :( I already deinstalled an reinstalled the version - no change :(

Yes indeed , Now you point me to it I did find the downloaded cover in the tempdir under the name buffercover.jpg.
I did notice as wel that even if I try to ad an picture stored in the movie folder itself, that very shortly the picture flashes in the picture window, and then disappear again.
An I'm also using XP SP3

When I do this (for example in the "example database"), the NEW picture was shown for half a second and then it jumps to the "no cover selectet"

What shall we do :(

Hi Guys,

Please let me know if the "eXtreme Movie Manager" folder, where all files of XMM are located, is under "my documets" folder in your PC.

Have you already try to reset XMM configuration? You can do that in the Options Menu ->Reset XMM configuration

OK, last thing before try other ways.

Please delete this key in windows register:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\eXtremeMovieManager

Should completely remove the configuration, and refresh everything.

I hope this work

I am runnig out of ideas, I have read much times today the procedure of cover creation but I cannot find a cause about this.

Do you remeber the last version of XMM that was working correctly on your PC?

About the example database, please do not delete covers, try to add new covers without delete the old one and let me know,

Really sorry guys for these problems!

Another Thing Martin,

please close XMM and delete everything you find in the TEMPDIR Subfolder of XMM, also the TMPDIR/IMAGES subfolder.

If there is some file "locked", that you cannot delete, please restart your PC and try to delete all.

I want know if there is some corrupted file inside this temp that may block XMM during image import.

Martin please download the latest release, open the example database and add a new movie.

now open the Covers manager and add manually a new cover.

There is a new textbox at bottom of Covers manager that is a log, please write me the whole log.

Thank you,

Alessio
