Hi!
Just installed XMM (latest) after a fresh xp install and now i'm unable to update ANY film with IMDB (latest scripts of course).
It always gets stuck with downloading like e.g.:

http://scriptkas.imdb.com/title/tt0419706">More at IMDb Pro<

Hangs there forever doing nothing...

Guess, the "more at imdb pro"-part is the bugger maybe?

Hoping for help Alessio :-)

Regards,
Tyger

Hi Tyger,

I have try it just now (both fastest and complete) and seem to work correctly. I have try it with Matrix and Terminator 3 movies.

Please let me know,

Alessio

PS: Try to use the liveupdate again, just to be sure that the script are really the latest one.

Hi Alessio,

strange...already killed the script and re-downloaded twice (via liveupdate), but the problem still persists.
Script is dated 24/NOV/08, i tried both "complete" and "fastest".
Still gets stucked at ">more at imdb pro<"

Tried again, no updates available and script still gets stuck *whine* :-)

Regards,
Tyger

Yes, really strange

Please try to open IMDB with Internet Explorer, just to see if the website is loaded correctly (IE because XMM use the microsoft IE settings)

Btw, do you have problems with all movies? I have try matrix and works.

Yes, it works in iexplore. Running x64 XP here, but that shouldn't be the source of the problem, could it (But x86/x64 explorer works both)?

EDIT:
Just tested it again, no chance...

Is exactly what XMM tries to download forever. Just "Doom" the film, no german Umlauts or anything.

Any idea left?

Checked again, clean install:

Some work, some not, i don't understand it?

Examples
Works: "The Signal"
Doesn't work: "Doom"

Strange, isn't it?

Yes, really strange, I have try both movies without any problem.

What do you do exactly? because maybe there is a bug if you make some sequence.

I have press the "add new movie" button, then I directly import the info from internet without close the Edit Window.

I did as i always do:

Import from HDD, then my scriptchain imdb->ofdb->darktown.

But even if i ONLY use imdb-fastest(or -complete) it won't work for e.g. "doom".
Last 10 imported movies worked OK, but the mentioned "doom" won't. Totally strange. But it definatley worked before with the same movie, coz i had it in the database but deleted it weeks before.

I know, finding such a nasty bug is pretty impossible...don't worry :-)

Tyger
