Hi,

I have a problem that I just cannot solve. For some reason I cant get any data to show up when i run a script to grab it from IMDB. I am using the fast script and it seems to run ok but nothing is returned. It doesnt seem to work for any script. If I run the exact same script on the exact same database and version of EMM on another pc it works ok.

Any idea what is causing this? I've reinstalled already, removed all my settings etc but it still won't work.

Regards

Hi,

I think you have some firewall (windows or another one) that block XMM.

Let me know,

Alessio

No I have my firewall turned off ( I just use the normal xp one).

I have debugged the imdb fast script and it seems to pick up the variables from the website and put them in your stack registers so i dont think its being blocked. (It runs all the way through to the trailers code then exists as it should)

The only thing i can think that may of caused it is my wife installed the chinese language pack recently on my pc. I notice now that .nfo files now display in chinese characters (unicode) and not pretty pictures anymore. Perhaps there is a string not being recognised properly now because of this?

Actually after writing this, I checked "control panel --> Regional and language options --> advanced -->select a language to match the language version of the non-Unicode programs you want to use" it was set to "chinese prc" Once this was set back to english all worked fine. Glad to have it back to normal

Windows Firewall is also considered as a firewall, hence the word firewall...
