I just want to check what is the .NET to install v.8.0.50727.1433 into my XP workstation

Jim, where are you getting the version number from.?
.NET 2 Service Pack 1 should be a minimum.

I would suggest that everyone uses Windows Update and select the CUSTOM option, then install ALL the Critical and Software updates.
This will install all the .NET components required.

Hi Wizard

I have already installed .NET service Pack 1, but the highest version i see is v.8.0.50727.762

Check your Add/Remove programs list. As long as you have v2 listed then its fine.
