hello there, is there any way to add one cover to all episodes of a serie-season, selecting them all and then adding the cover, or do i have to add each episode the same cover manually ? |

Hi Mawu,
Are you sure you have correctly unzip the update ? Because I have check it and the German INI file is ok. Remeber to unzip with the original folders too! Please check it.
The new (x)HTML-DB have a new engine, more quick and really "little" in size. Of course the new improvements are not visible "by eyes"
About the programmer's Guide : I haven't insert it in the update, I will upload it alone asap in the website.
About the Covers: I will check it better, but the Multiple Moviecards export should do it.
About the Import : I am working on it these days, I hope will be ready for the next 1.8
Thank you!

Hy Alessio,
about ini-file: you are right, the german ini-file in the update package is o.k.. I used a newer one (with translation up to line 908 - I sent it to you). This newer version worked fine with xMM 1.6 but with xMM 1.7 there was an error message, because this ini-File ended with line 908. Problem solved
about the programmer's guide: fine about the covers: I only tested the moviecard export in detail. But there is imho a little bug. I used the "A SimpleCard2_de.htm" moviecard for export. The covers should be displayed in the following way: One cover at the top (src="_MOVIE_COVER_"), the others at the bottom of the card (src="_MOVIE_COVER1_".....). After export I investigated the corresponding files: I exported on movie with 3 covers. In the images-folder I found: Movie-.jpg, Movie-_1.jpg, Movie-_2.jpg. In the source code of the exported movie card I found the following expressions for the covers: "src="images\Movie-.jpg", "src="images\Movie-.jpg_1.jpg", "src="images\Movie-.jpg_2.jpg". As you can imagine only the first cover is exported correctly. About the Import: fine, until it#s done in xMM1.7 we can see the corresponding menue as an appetizer.
Last but not least a feature request: can you integrate a possibilty to kill the process of building the thumbnail-view (sometimes im too impatient to wait until it's done, sometimes I'm clicking on the thumbnail view accidentally)
Bye Mawu

Hi Mawu,
I will better check all moviecards, maybe the problem is inside it.
In the next 1.8 I will add the button for kill the thumbnail creation

...I promised to NOT post here again... BUT... couldn't resist!
@Mawu "what's really new with xhtml-db? Can't see any difference to the old version at first sight" => THIS is just a proof = that A LOT of people DON'T use features that much they were crying for! ...ho ho
FIXED in HTML-DB: 1. "As i recently noticed, the exportengine is unable to export films with an "@" in the title. When you have for example "E-M@il für dich" (=Orginal Titel), the Export engine creates entries until the @ and only gaps with nothing after the @. So therefore i would be pleased if you can correct this bug..."
2. "JUMP_TO_TITLE" = was NOT working correctly AFTER using one of the FILTER/SORT options.
IMPROVED in HTML-DB: 1. STARTUP time = should be MUCH faster now... 2. "JUMP_TO_TITLE" = much FASTER now... 3. "browsing" through movie-info = much FASTER now... 4. Overall SIZE of WHOLE HTML-DB = SMALLEST I can think of! (used MY latest cruncher-compressor) 5. ...and some other little improvements I simply have forgotten...
so long...

here are my observations after installing the new version (updated only, no fresh install) selecting the language again when starting - no problem at all although my tv series have been merged with the movies, so now they're all mixed... whenever there's a cover pic missing, a blue image is shown that i haven't seen before. the text says click here to import, but i found out that you can only do that in the main view.. Just an observation. Is it possible to export the native thumbnails view available in the main window? I can see how that would be useful. Also I made a suggestion a while back about adding a possibility to show where a movie is stored. I now noticed a field called 'location' which I haven't seen before. This is what I need. I didn't find an option to change this field for movies id:ed 1 through 160. Is this possible? Thanks for a program that just keeps improving! Anders |

That's a pity. I always liked your first-hand info. Maybe you will reconsider you decision in future.

Ok,ok. It was a very first impression. And no reproach but a curious asking for details in order not to overlook a new feature (and you can believe me: I exhaust most of xMM's brilliant features). Bye the way: new x(html)-db is really very fast. You`ve done a good job!
