Is there any way to search through your selected movies by UPC code? Or even search online by UPC Code when you are trying to download all the information about your DVDs?

If not just a suggestion for the next update. I know I especially use the UPC codes cause i have a bar code scanner hooked up to my computer. And it is much easier to scan the bar codes and do searches that way.

Hi Alessio,

another suggestion. I use the first custom field to save the quality of the movie (picture quality). For me, it should be better to have a listbox to this with some proposition and the possibility to add it.
If some user want this possibility, maybe you could as this in a future release.

I think thats not important to have good icon, but implement the feature, that everz user can change/add icons for anz format. When zou have listbox and add the the to listbox, add one field with path 9or onlz name0 of the icon.

Hi Alessio,

just an idea for the codec icons: You could load them as an external ressource, so every user would be able to choose favourite icons or specify an icon for a not-supported codec (because you can add as many of them as you like). E.g. like this: img_<codec_name_in_the_program>.gif

Another suggestion would be to display a language icon next to the one of the codec. I think many users have min. 2 languages in their collection.
This is not really necessary for the new layout (I hope the columns which display the sorts of information for a movie are user-definable (title, genre, format, year, etc) ). But maybe you could display a flag instead of "English", "German", etc.

But great work, Alessio!

Btw. which progamming language do you use for the manager?

Hi,

It's a good idea of course make icons changeable by users, maybe with a resorce file, but I really don't know when will be ready. I have a tons of features and bugs to fix that the work is really much.

The new "layout" should be similar to the one painted by CortexWave, so it should have also the language icons, not only Codec one.

I have write XMM in VB6.

Thank you!

Alessio
