in 1.4 there is suddenly a script searching bug. if I for example enter 'Battle for the Planet of the Apes' it gives an empty reply. If I enter just 'planet of the apes' it finds the battle of... and I can select it. this happens all the time, if I enter the exact title it wont find it. I have to use less words.
another exaple is 'Roger & Me'. I had to write in 'Roger and' in order to find it.

also, the poster will never show in any of the moviecards. I just get an X (error picture). (it is supposed to show the selected cover right?)

A little suggestion: could you make it possible in the statistics to see the amount of movies that have had imported info?

And a little warning message if you try to add a movie twice would be nice.

thank you. =)

Hi,

At this time isn't possible add movies via UNC paths, this because you can search only movies on HD. Some users already has writed about this feature and I hope to implement it in future.

About the Databases : yes, at this time there are "lock" problems, because XMM is born to run on a desktop for one person only, but I will try to modify also this.

About the Player : just open the Player manager, select the Wmplayer and insert the character of the quotes in the "Apex" field, this should solve your problem.

Thank you!

Alessio

Thanks for the prompt answers. Looking at how you store stuff I found it is just a standard .mdb file so I can just open it in MS Access and just do a find/replace the file path to make it a UNC path. So that is enough of a work around to solve that problem for me.
The apex entry fixed the player problem. A note to this effect in the help file would be cool.
At $10, this is just an unbelievably good deal. I just registered a copy and when the db lock issue is resolved I’ll register 2 more.

Try to connect the network disk as local disk. Then it will work.
The problem with DB lock is problem of microsoft. Mazbe if exists something what can replace MSAccess then will work to access to database from more computers.

Good idea (for version 2.0) will be use firebird (or some other better database) except of MS.

You know, I really love a program where you say: You know what would be cool: X. Then you look around and find that it does have X already. X was me about to ask if you could add a function to find and replace things in different fields.
So the UNC problem is simple. Map a drive, scan it. Then select everything from it under Multi and just find and replace every instance of the drive letter with the correct UNC path under replace Words in Files. Then unmap the drive. That way there is no excess network overhead.

As for the file lock problem, this isn't a big deal in my mind, I think fixing it would only help a small number of people. Its something I am happy waiting for.
