yes, something i can define myself, like 'basement', 'garage', 'living room'. it would be nice if i can define these somewhere, and then select from a drop-down menu for every new movie i add to the collection. or, an option that all newly added movies by default belong to 'the left shelf'. this would be useful for me, i now have 320+ movies stored in caselogic cd cases that hold 264 discs each, and also some vhs in the basement and one drawer. when looking for a movie i don't want to look through hundreds of movies before i can start watching..
thanks for answering so quickly - and you know you make a great program..
also nice not to be grilled for asking a stupid question :-)

I use the 'BoxID' field in the 'Media' section. I enter like '2x6' where 2 is the cdfolder and 6 is the page. I thought that was what it was for...?

I'm using the nCD's to write x-yy where x is the number of the cd box and yy is it's serial location in that box... Using nCD's I can export this field to the (x)html, unlike all other combinations that aren't exported.

yeah i guess you could always use some special code for where your movies are stored. like adding a special number before the title of every movie or something. but i use this program because it's smart and i don't have to make special arrangements like that. what if someone else is to look at your database? i want it to be understandable/obvious and nice-looking, and i think alessio has done a great job so far. looking forward to the music manager. i just hope they will be closely integrated.
