Hallo Alesso,

like somme users write for 5.7.7, I also have no script for import.

I work with XP-Pro.
The version before was 5.6.8. and I made an update to 5.7.8.0.

I tried also a full installation. But also no scripts.

Hello,
I've the same problem using VISTA. Version 5.7.7.1 works fine. If I update to 5.7.8.0 XMM didn*t find the scripts. If i remove the whole Installation and install the full 5.7.8.0 XMM starts and says "couldn't find the path extreme movie manager\configuration...

Hi,

You must install the FULL install, not the update if your previous release was not the 5.7.7.0.

@ De66ka: please when XMM show you the * of path not found, select the path called "eXtreme Movie Manager" that is under you documents' folder.

Let me know,

Alessio

Man, it is very broken... I uninstalled all versions, removed the xmm folder in program files, and my documents, downloaded new version 5.7.8.0.. a screen shows up saying it does not find de PATHS... I manualy select the paths to the newly crated xmm folders in program files and my documents.. and xmm does NOT find anything... here is the debug info it put on the screen..

the languages directory is under My Documents... but it seems to be looking for it under Progam Files...

To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Got it to work by selecting the My Documents/XMM directory not the My Documents/XMM/coniguration directory...

Thanks

Hallo Alessio,

Yes, I resolved the problem. But on a different way.

I didnīt deinstall the complete new XMM 5.7.8.0.

I made a SystemRestore for Windows on a date before the change to 5.7.8.0.

The restore replace a lot of files to a second XMM-Directory(1). Some newer files are not replaced but the configuration of XMM was written like before.

Start up the XMM and I couldt see some scripts. I made a download of new scripts. And it works now.

Hi.

I also have the same problem. Suddenly about 15 days ago, I was unable to update through the automatic update function inside EMM, I got an error each time "make sure you have an internet connection or see your firewall". Impossible to update to get the latest scripts, impossible to update the latest beta unless to get the file on this website. So I decided to deinstall EVERYTHING (EMM) and reinstall the FULL program (extrememm5.7b8.exe - 10Mb).

But like the others, I get the same problem, EMM asks for the directory, I select it and it keeps asking me it does not find it.

I'm under XP PRO SP2, I install EMM in D:\ as I do for years. Everything was ok until I got some problems 15 days ago with the update.

To make EMM compliant with Vista didn't you introduce something like a force-path? I mean by force-path if you don't install EMM in the default directory, the program never find the good directory?

Byt the way I NEVER install programs in the c:\programs or in the c:\documents... I do not want to. I say that because some people report they solved the problem by selecting c:\documents... With my case it doesn't work. Whether I select EMM directory or EMM\configuration directory, I got an error.

Could you have a look at that please?

Thanks you very much. :)

I have the same problem. EMM was working great; the scripts; but after updating to the latest version they are now empty. I also tried rebooting, full reinstall to no avail.

As far as automatic update still working or not, I don't know, I have not tried that feature after installing the update.

I am currently running 5.5.5.0 with Magic Script V4.3!

Please go in the window registry and delete this key (it remove the XMM configuration):

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\eXtremeMovieManager

After that, launch XMM and let me know.

Alessio

Removing the registry key and al XMM files from Program Files and re-installing 5.7.9.0 worked great for me and my XMM is working just great again, thanks!
