Is it possible to actually get javascript to work properly using the HTML-DB??

I've created a moviecard. With Stars and a print function. It works perfectly in Extreme MM BUT when I export it neither of the functions work any more.. No stars appear and it doesn't want to print!

Will it be incorporated into the Html-DB v2??

i'll try and answer these questions as accurately as possible:

* Scan the discs to get DivX/XviD data like: average video bitrate, video codec, video resolution, audiocodec, audiobitrate, audiochannels etc?

Yes, its really easy with the mass cd scanner as well.

* Associate one or several discs with 1 movie title?

Yes, XMM will show how many discs for each movie + total running time etc. The mass CD add takes this into account as well - it prompts if the new cd is part of an existing movie

* Remember the discnumbers?

not sure what you mean but there is a field you can set to say which folder/number a movie is. there are also custom fields.

* Try to find a picture on the local harddrive (in a specified directory) based upon the movie title?

Not sure about this - the picture part of XMM is always being updated. Currently the pictures are all stored in the one directory and use the movie name as the title. This is probably the weakest part of the program at the moment only because there isnt really a way to do this when you initially add a lot of movies. If you are adding single movies then it is easy and doesnt take long. This shortcoming is understandable because there is really no effective way of easily mass-adding pictures.

* Assign discnumbers to storage units (ie; I've got my discs in folders, 60 discs per folder)?

Yes there is a box-id field which is used for this.

* Export selected data according to a specified pattern, to, for example, run a PDFlib script to generate "moviecards" with my highres pictures for printing?

There are about a billion export options, including movie cards which would suit this perfectly.

You know there is a free trial version - add one or 2 movies and you can see all the answers above and test it yourself.

Thank you Leyton!

I want only add that the MASS ADD Features are on the EDIT WINDOW (the window that appears when you want add new movies) and that from the next release the cover folder can be selected.

Bye!

Ok, trying out the application now :)

One thing I noticed is that there's no real "explorer view" of the files on a CD, like in a cataloging application. The discscan doesn't include all the files.

Another thing is that the images are stretched.

But there's a heap of other stuff... gonna try i out som more. Thanks for answering my questions :)
