I have been messing around with the program for a couple of days now, trying to figure out how best to add my collection, and I have developed the following wish list. If anyone has any suggestions, or knows of any workarounds, please let me know:
1) I want to change the media type field to add other media types (such as VHS - Prerecorded / VHS-EP/VHS-SP), preferrably at the same time that I do a mass add). Adding it to the table in MS Access (or the edit screen) allows you to change the selections in the main (Normal/Movie) window , but it is not a selection in the Multiple Changes menu. I would also like a drop down list box on the first (Normal/Movie) page showing all of the options in the media table.
2) I want to use it as a CD and MP3 manager too / CDDB Connectivity
3) The help file says that: ""IMPORTANT : You have the possibility to fill fields that are common to all movies : for example, if you add all your "Horror" collection, you can write to the field "Category" this, and eXtreme Movie Manager will set all movies like Horror.""
- How do I do this? (. . .write to the field). Is there a format that allows you to reference certain fields?
4) Can I import by UPC code using a bar code scanner?
5) When you import using mass titles add, I would like to be able to specify other options (such as DVD/VHS) for the added files.
6) I would like to print out labels from the program (with ID# etc.)
I just registered and I am in the process of adding a couple thousand movies, so if any of these items are possible already, or are soon to be implemented, please let me know. If you have any questions, or if I am not being clear, feel free to write me back.
