I can't even make a new database because it says that one is not compatable. If you can help me at all please do because I deleted my old 4.8 |

Hi Popcorn,
What CPU and OS do you have? Some people in the past had the same problem, they fixed it by changing regional settings of .NET framework or by reinstall their windows xp.
Let me know.

Hi Alessio, I have the same problem as Popcorn has with the 5.1.9.0. I can not import my old database. To re-enter more than 1000 movies would be a huge job. Could you please have a loke at the XMM software, because it is very buggy. When I start XMM an error message appears right after the welcome screen:
53 Could not load file or assembly 'ADOB version=7.0.3300.0, Culture=Neutral, Public Keytoken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.
The software can not find tha database. This is obvious why.
When I try to import the old database this is the errormessage in details:
See the end of this message for details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging ************** To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this application or computer (machine.config) must have the jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section. The application must also be compiled with debugging enabled.

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer rather than be handled by this dialog box.
I hope this will help.
I have P4 2.4GHz CPU, 512MB RAM, and WinXP Pro. Installed NET Framework and my operating system has been continously automatically updated with the latest patches.
Thank you for your help.
Kind regards, Bela Banyay

Hi banyay,
You get the above error if you download and install ONLY the update file (extrememm5.1b9update.exe) which is 2.8mb, and you havent install the FULL program first. Just tested it and it gives the same error as the one you reported.
So if thats the case, you just have to download the full program and not the update (6.8mb in a zip file)
You can check, extreme movie manager folder in program files, and make sure the file adodb.dll file is there, otherwise its only the update file that you have installed. |

Hi MTS, Thank you for your advice. It worked. It seems the upgrade only file does not install the necessary system files. Cheers, Bela |

Hi Guys,
Yes, you must install the FULL release if you switch to 5.x from 4.8, this because softwares are completely different.
Thank you MTS!
