I put it on "genre" view and then tried to edit the genres of the individual movies. This causes the entire program to freeze solid, and I have to shutdown the whole program and start it again. It does this so often it's really impossible to edit the genres.

Now it stopped doing it. Weird! Now it seems to work fine.
