Hello,
I just downloade the EMM software and I'm trying to learn how to use it. I created a blank database and I will like to import all movies from the internet. But there are no movies listed in the database so I have nothing to download.
Is there a way to download all movies with an empty database so I can populate my database??
Thank you,

Hi,
Sorry, my english is terrible and I am not sure to understand what you mean.
In XMM if you press "ADD" button you can add a movie in the database. Write just the title and after import all information from internet with Scripts.

Allesio,
Your english is better then my italian. I wish I could write in italian.
I see that I can add 1 movie at a time, but is there a way to download all movie titles into my database.
I tried going into "Mass Title Add" and copy/paste the titles of all movies, but it still doesn't add them to the database.
I want to have every dvd movie that is on imdb or dvdempire and put it in my database.
Thank you again,

I am trying to do this, because people can download files of entire IMDB database, but are files not easy to "read".
Thank you!

Hi, this is my first post, and I would like to say that XMM works great. But XMM is not the right tool to "import" the whole IMDB. Please take a look at http://www.steffensiebert.de/amdb/. He has written a local commandline Interface for a local version of the IMDB called AMDB. On http://home.eplus-online.de/twahl/ thereŽs also a graphical Interface called AMDBFront. It works with MySQL an do a great Job. At ftp.fu-berlin.de/misc/movies/database youŽll find up-to-date files for both AMDB and AMDBFront. Last but not least on http://www.unzeit.de/amdb.htm youŽll get hundreds of posters for AMDBFront.
Hope that helps a littlebit.
Greetings Osch |
