Posted - 17 Dec 2008 : 20:35:33 There seems to be a problem with the language id. If I try for example to import "The Simpsons" and choose the german series, first it seems to be fine, if I open the link in the browser its using "lid=14", which is german. But the next overwiew of all episodes doesn't use this langue id anymore, its using "lid=7", which is the english one. So i get all episode information in english, if i manually change the lid in the browser to 14, I get the german one. Could that be corrected, or is there any way to explicitly give the language id to the script? It would be nice if anyone can help me with that problem.

Posted - 29 Jan 2009 : 20:48:57 Hi Alessio
I tried also today but the problem is the same.
I create a new TV Series, Brothers & Sisters, then make Internet update with thetvdb.com script, I select Brothers & Sisters (Italian) and XMM download The Summer Smothers Brothers Show. Episodes titels are corrects, but after update, there aren't also the episodes titles.
Thank you very much Carlo |

Posted - 21 Jan 2009 : 19:01:32 Hi Tankalf,
I am out now, i will come back this saturday and I can help you better.
Why have you problems in importing TV Shows from Hard disk? If there is a bug I can try to fix it.
About the script, on sunday i will check it.
Sorry for my delay,

Posted - 21 Jan 2009 : 16:19:13 Hello
I just purchase XMM, and now I'm trying to add all my TV Series.
I started with Brothers & Sisters, XMM can't read my avi files, so I add Tv Serie manually. Than I update information with internet, TVEFFE doesn't have information for this series, so I selected TheTVDB, that has also information in Italian. But after I select Brothers & Sisters (Italian), XMM write as Tv Series name : The Summer Smothers Brothers Show. I don't know why. And it doesn't download information in italian, but in english.
Are there some problems with TheTVDB script ? It is a big source of information also for Italians.
Thanks a lot Carlo

Posted - 02 Jan 2009 : 17:04:53 Rather than make a new thread, I decided to add to this one regarding another problem with the tvdb.com script.
Many TV Shows have specials, and please see the tvdb wiki for information as to how tvdb handles them:
http://www.thetvdb.com/wiki/index.php/Special_Episodes
For example, Battlestar Galactica (2003) page on tvdb:
http://www.thetvdb.com/?tab=series&id=73545&lid=7[/url
If you look under Seasons > Specials, you will see all of the Special episodes. If you look under Season 01, you will see that there are 3 Specials that aired before Season 01.
The current script does not seem to detect any Specials at all. Is there any way the script can be updated to (1) detect Specials, (2) treat them like tvdb does? For example, in Season 01 of Battlestar, I would want the 3 Specials to have Episode #s like 00A, 00B, and 00C so that they appear before the other Episodes of Season 01.
What do you think?
Thanks! |

Posted - 28 Dec 2008 : 22:19:35 I forgot one:
in the "episodetitle"-Section after the line "#TAKEWORD#=#41#,#01#,#02# // Episode-Title" i added again the two lines:
#CHECKVARIABLE#=#41# #STARTSUBSTITUTETAGS#
|
| Jiriki |
Posted - 28 Dec 2008 : 18:34:19 I experimented a bit with the script. in the "serieplot" section, after "#checkvariable#=#03# i added a line with "#STARTSUBSTITUTETAGS#. In the section "REPEATCICLEEPISODES" i added after line "#TAKEWORD#=#32#,#01#,#02# //Title" the following two lines: #CHECKVARIABLE#=#32# #STARTSUBSTITUTETAGS#
And finally in section "episodeplot" i added "#STARTSUBSTITUTETAGS#" after the line "#CHECKVARIABLE#=#03#".
Now the all umlauts are correct. In the script there are many more "STARTSUBSTITUTETAGS"-statements, checking some links etc., where substition isn't needed i think. |
| Jiriki |
Posted - 28 Dec 2008 : 17:59:08 I saw you updated the script, the problem with the umlauts is still there. I had a look in the script and find a lot of "SUBSTITUTEWORD", also those which are currently remaining in episode/series text. It seems that the substitution isn't processed? |

Posted - 21 Dec 2008 : 15:22:05 Well i nearly get a bad conscience for reporting so much things, but there is another glitch in the import script: German umlauts are not imported right. For example, "ü" is shown as "ü" in episode and series text and in the episodes titles. By the the way, you are fixing bugs so fast, that is unbelievable ;) Thank you very much for your great work! |
