Hi,

I am trying to import movies from my hdd.
Files import oK, however when trying to IMBD information doesnt go very well.
It doesnt find the movie in IMDB and for every file I have to be in front of the keyboard and manually enter the movie name. Only after this the download will start.

Recently I have tried another program (movienizer) and to my surprise it finds almost all the movies!!
Only problem is that I am a registered user of XMM and I want to use it. Can something be done is it will work much the same as movienizer?
Also a time out feature will be nice too - ie when u get asked to select a movie from the list below - it nobody in front of PC wait 20 secs then move on to the next movie and import data.

Please let me know.

Thanks.

Please let us know your findings. Hopefully something can be done so XMM will match the movies just as good if not better :)

Alessio,

Thanks for getting back to me.
I am really not sure how the other program does it but for sure it get a much much better return in matching the files to movies.
The files I am talking about are file form web with all the other bits and pieces in the name (group, year, 1080/720, etc) but it seem to work for the other program.
IN XMM I have to retype every single movie manually to be ale to find it - so even if there is a "first movie" option I guess it wont work as normally it finds nothing or way off movies.
A suggestion - maybe have a look at the other program and see how it operates. Then you will understand what I am talking about.

The idea of the 20 seconds is good, I will try to implement it.

About the Titles matching in IMDB. I don't think the other software made miracles in searching on IMDB, probably they simply take the first title that came from IMDB, that often is not the same movie you are searching.

If you want you can force XMM to take the first directlink without ask you nothing...

Let me know,

Ale
