I tried it with the quick edit view now and it works perfect, thank you.
Seems I thought of a different feature then =)

Hi Comziz,
You can drag and drop NEW Covers to a movie by dropping the picture in the PictureBox (Main window, quick edit view).
Let me know if you have problems.

Excuse my lack of understanding but, I can not figure out how & where this new feature works. I updated to 6.4.5 the moment I read it in "What's new" but nothing changed for me :( There was this topic regarding a bug for the first picture, so I thought may be Alessio rollbacked the new feature, but now I read this one here...
is it for the cover manager? Because if it is, I still can not drag and drop there.
Am I missing something? Should I download the full installation instead of the update?
But I still want to thank you Alessio for doing this, even if it currently doesn't work for me.
