Is there a way to disable sounds? I can't find an option. I sometimes add movies at work and hearing "ding" all the time is blowing my cover

Thanks,
Xtropy

I am TRULY amazed!
I was on the forum for Audiograbber (Another bit of software I purchased)

The second anyone asked about an update.. They were told to Get lost.. It only had to be updated if the programmer wanted to.. Then when asked about the next beta release or a final release.. Once again they were told to get lost.. AND the question of a release date still has not been answered.(Over a month since the last question.. From what the programmer has written.. He can't be bothered to finish of the little changes he needs to make)

I must say it is truly wonderful that this brilliant bit of software (As audiograbber once was when I bought it). Is being supported so well.
:)
I have emailed Alessio on several occasions with bugs or questions. The replies have ALWAYS been prompt and helpful..

:D I am incredibly pleased that I purchased this program and I would like to say this is probably one of the best bits of software I have purchased!

Hi Sunaman,

As I have write, this is my fault. I will write in private about this "Forced" upgrade to the 1.1 B2 from 1.1 B1. Believe me that I am sorry, but I had no way out. Thank you for your patience!

Dude, I'm not that stupid. The first thing I did after installing the program was uncheck the "Check for updates". I hate it when I am always nagged by programs to update. So every program I use has this feature disabled.

Here's what happens... I am using v1.1 build 1. I go to import a movie from the web and it automatically checks if the software is out of date. If it is out of date it says, "This copy of eXtreme Movie Manager is EXPIRED! You can't import information from internet. Go to official web page for download a new release"

The web import function is the best feature of this program. It's the main reason I use it. I just want to be able to use all the options of the software without having to upgrade. The fact that the software becomes partially disfunctional is very annoying and makes me angry.

Aside from this, I think that the program is excellent. Plus, I can tell that the development team really cares about what the users think! This is uncommon for many programs out there. That's why I like this program so much.

I am just asking that the program remains FULLY functional if I choose not to upgrade.

By the way, I didn't intend for my first post to sound mean. As MemTronic said, I was really pissed. So, I'm sorry if it came across in a bad way.

Hi Sunaman,

What Leyton01 and Memtronic wrote is true, you can disable the "Check for updates" in the configuration.

HOWEVER, I must admit that in the past (and I am sorry, but also for the next 2 future releases, but only for that) I have FORCED my registered users to upgrade the software. I have do it for a noble reason, you can believe me (I will write that in private).

Please sorry for all people that hate upgrade the software, I promise that in future will be really more easy and automated do this, and if you simply don't want it you will not be forced.

However, anyone that hates a particular feature or something else PLEASE REPORT IT : we will try to do our best !

@sunaman

I fully agree with you!
I am a coder myself (hehe)...

...and I like to hear someone telling the truth about WHAT he thinks!
=> SO DO I!

...but you can believe me = as leyton01 has told you => UNCHECK the "Check for updates" option in the tools --> configuration menu !!!

THIS REALLY DOES HELP!

@leyton01
...and I really DON'T think that suanman has to be gentle if he REALLY GETS PISSED about something!

sunaman DOES also tell us that he LIKES it SO MUCH that he really
wants THIS to be fixed...

People who DON'T like something at all = in general DO NOT REPORT!

...but THAT is what we (Alessio + me + others involved) WANT TO HEAR!

=> WHAT YOU LIKE and most important WHAT YOU THINK COULD BE IMPROVED!
...and if something gets really annoying for you = LET US KNOW!

so long and regards to sunaman + leyton01

MemTronic
