In the movie cards themselves : • the possibility to actually export html code (I know i requested this one some time ago to Allessio and at the time it seem to be problematic. Well my problem is that I have a lot of separate subtitles files wich ch i would like to be directly downloadable from the movie card. To this effect I can use html code in the subtitle field (or the note field if the code is more than 256 chars long) which is perfectly rendered inside eMM in moviecard view, but is not exported by the export engine • Definitely LEADING ZEROS on images names at export time on at least 5 digits (ie 00001.jpg instead of 1.jpg for easy filing (I like to have 100 following 99 instead of 100 following 10, especially when i update the site images and dont want to go back and forth on the list. And rather 8 digits (5 digits for the movie ID, followed by one underscore, followed by 2 digits for the cover number (see below) ) • For all movie cards a "All Covers" variation (horizontal at the bottom of the card may be) (I do collect jpeg posters for movies, and whenever possible hi-res ones. I'd like to have them displayable on line :)) Clickable, of course ;), with Id such as : 00001_00.jpg, 00001_01.jpg... 00001_99.jpg • a related idea : maybe a Thumbnail export for the movie posters in order to save loading time (ie : 00001_01.jpg the image when clicked, and "00000_01S.jpg" displayed in the card. In the export engine 2 minors .ini issues : • a remember "last Card used" so i don't have to reselect the one I used last time. ("let see, was it 02 XhtmlDb or IE/Netscape only ?") • a remember "last report name used" (I myself use csv exports with names like "report-YYYY-MM-DD.csv", where i export only the films added since previous update, which I then load in excel and copy/paste in the main xls list that i dont want to redesign at every export. If i have just to change the MM-DD part in the name, instead of retyping the all thing, all the better ;) • I've made a custom none.jpg : [img]http://films.2038.net/FILES/260.jpg[/img] at the moment I copied it in the Covers folder under another name (000_none.jpg) and whenever a film has no covers (short movies are difficult in this regard) I assign it this one. However, at export time, the file is then copied as movie_id.jpg. It's quite a waste of disk space, since the same image could be reused for every film that has no cover. So couldn't it be possible by default to make the export engine use the none.jpg image if a film has no cover ? (ie if no cover img src="none.jpg" instead of an empty string or the movie id. In the Import Engine : • That one is gonna sound weird : add a .jpg/gif/bmp scan to "mass file add". Once again it's poster related. Let say i've got a bunch of posters only files (some 6000 at the moment, growing). I don't necesseraly have the films that goes with it, But i'd like to build a Poster database (and export cards later) with the usual info. Of course i can manually rename the jpg file .jpg.avi in order to do a mass file add and import the info from IMDB, then rename them back to their original extension... I think you see the problem here (i see one in the scan though, you'd have to discard codec check for the image types and of course a poster only movie card would be needed with only the film info and no file/codec related information) Well, I think that in the "not so easy to implement ideas" and "this guy must be crazy can't he see the work that it implies" field, I've thrown my 2 cents for today ;) I'll leave you to ponder whether to start immediately or ban me forever to post this kind of nonsense ;) -- Eric B.
