hi,
am beginner to this version and have always used older version of 4.0.4 and found it easy to use but with edition 2.6 build 6 pro am having lots of difficulty and ready to give it up.

Whn i try to create my own db or use model template of existing one no matter what movie i try to add, get response of:
no movies on datbse, you cannot import anything after i save and exit then go www button way. Finally, the initialising engine just hangs there without any result after what seems an eternity.
Also, do not understand all these scripts and chainbs and do not find help very helpful.
do you have a .pdf tutorial that can explain in layman terms how this all works that i can possibly download?

So, the problem is that XMM freeze when you import info, right? (sorry for my bad english!)

Please try to install the FULL release and REPLACE the DLL that XMM need, this should solve your "freezing" problem.

I'm sorry, but am using edition 2.6 build 9 just like you said and find that I have to enter all information manually since everytime from either choices of import movies with selected script or import movies with default script, the magicscript import engine does open properly with all of the choices of scripts that i have.

The problem is when i click on the plus button(IMDB.com) for example, then on hyperlink related to that parent directory, and choose either import movies with selected script or import movies with default script, the please wait, importing information window hangs there with no information and only button that is not greyed out is the stop button.

That is my problem.

Please download the FULL release and try it.

Thanks, seems to get to scripts now, however when i download from any of the 2 scripts offered in build 9, status bar does not move and only the stop option is highlighted, so seems that i have to enter everything manually, which kind of defeats the purpose.

Hi,

Do you have the release 4.0.4 The latest release is the 2.6 build 9 !

Inside XMM there is an help for start to collect movies.

For example, if you press the WWW button at top you will enter in the Import from Internet's window. Here you can use the WIZARD that will help you to select movies and select the right script (every script can download information froma website. I suggest you top use the [IMDB] script).

Let me know!
