Here are my comments for the current release including all remaining problems I've already posted during the beta test:
- Not every window is skinable at the moment (edit window, friend manager etc.) as they are relicts from the old xMM 6.X. Every part of the program should have a unique look (skinable, uniformly used icons)
- HTML card for boxsets is missing
- I would like to have more control of the look of the grid, e.g. display of grid lines on/off
- Quickedit view: It's not possible at the moment to customize the size of the data fields or is there a trick (I need this for features field)? Also hiding of complete tab is not possible.
-It would be nice to be able to have special layouts for different databases, which means that we can link a specific layout to a specific database.
- missing quickedit views for actors, boxsets, episodes
- tabbed html card/quickedit also for actors, episodes, boxsets
- TreeView Navigation: when clicking on "actors" in other windows (main grid, moviecard) there should be an automatic switch to the corresponding actors stuff. When selecting actor in treeview actors grid, actors card and actors quickedit (still missing, instead of it at the moment the quickedit for movies appear) should appear - not (!) the picture/back cover window for movies. When switching to movie/series all the corresponding grids/cards should appear.
-I also liked the old "split view" of series and episode card (should be available as an option), aso "split view" for boxsets/movie
- missing: assign a episode or a season to a boxset
- Filter: option to save the advanced filters is highly recommended (maybe also in the treeview)
- Filter: clear display of used filter (like in xMM 6.x)
- cover managment: there is the pictures and the back cover view; are there are further views planned? As many users have already big cover collections and xMM scripts are not able to differentiate between different kind of pictures, there should an option to move pictures between "picture view" and "back cover" (I would favour to change the name of the views in picture view 1 and 2 as more applications like cover/screenshot galleries are possible)
- hypertext functionality for movie directors is highly recommended
- date fields: there is always not only the date but also the time of day (12:00) displayed. Can't be changed in the options. (BTW: Why is it not possible to change the release year field into release date as it is more specific?)
- moviecard: on moviecard for field "status" the content of "package" field is displayed
- translation: although some of the expressions are already translated they do not appear within the program. |
