My database has now 1100 or so movies, and the printing feature becomes very useless as it is. The printer feature prints all or nothing, in this case 40+ or so pages.. I wanted to print all «year 2006» movies, but the range seems to be all or nothing.
Deleting duplicates, in latest version, works worse as it was a couple of versions ago. At least there should be a popup telling us that there are no duplicates.
The Shelf looks like an IBM dos graphic from 1983 or so, and needs a lot of work. Maybe it should be removed untill the item is finished, and still I would like the origal list back (options :Thumbnails, Shelf or List.), especially because the database can be very large, in which case the shelf is useless.
The layout view does not seem to work 100%, since I once selected ´horizontal layout`, but I cannot go back to a ´vertical view´ as it was. The item ´vertical layout´, is not availabe. Makes me think of U.S. Mr. Ford, who said, ´you can get any car color you want, as long as it is black..´
The screen should tell us the name of the database were on. If we save the database, it creates it, and will be the default database from then on. I regularly save it, and ended up with a lot of databases. I did not know it behaved like that, untill I ran out of space.
If I am searching the database, xmm shows the phrase ´wait... loading 1000 images, 100 200 300 etc, and the result is that one movie shows up :the movie containing the phrase I was looking for. Yes it is a small item, however, it looks kind of strange.
Sill error prone on :"Movie Manager stopped working, plse close XMM" I still believe it some program working in the back ground.
I realize all is a lot of work, and apart from the shelf, I would say, :So Far So Good!

You can select, in the grid print function, all movies or only the movies selected in the main window. If you want print the HTML 4 or 5, you can use the export function, and also here you can select if export all movies or only the movies selected in the main window

I don't think it's worse, now you can select the movie you want delete all toghether, and not one by one, it's more quick! If there aren't duplicates you will see no movie in the main grid (and , at top, you will see the filter "Serch duplicates"

The Shelves view is added just to have a new "way" to look at collection. I have add it because many users like it. Of course must be improved, more skins must be made, but I really see no reason to disable it.

You cannot? maybe there is an hidden bug but I cannot find it. I have check the 6.7.3.0 and I can switch between horizontal and vertical withouor problems.
About the loading, you are right, I will change the phrase to "Searching..."
About the crash, have you notice when this happen? or it's completely random?

I take item «1000 images» back, xmm seems to do this ok. I suggest the phrase «loading» could be repaced by «searching». Then we are always on the safe side.. |
