Posted - 24 Apr 2004 : 14:59:28 There should be a way to supress the "New Version" message. Not only does it show each time web import is invoked, it cannot be turned off and it pops as an error messages. This is ultra-annoying. Help->Check for Updates and your periodic emails give enough accent to this feature.
Thanks.

Posted - 11 Feb 2003 : 17:14:36 Yes please link the covers to the 'Movie ID'.
I started with the Star Wars movies and added each of them with searching 'Star Wars' and then clicking the appropiate episode. This causes all of the covers to be linked to all of the Star Wars episodes. This would not happen if it was linked to an unique ID.

Posted - 28 Jan 2003 : 13:51:03 Hi,
I think binding the cover names with "Movie-ID" makes sense, because only the movie-id is unique within the database. I always have problems to manage covers of films that I have in several versions (vhs, vcd, dvd).
bye bye mawu |

Posted - 21 Jan 2003 : 18:08:57 you can bind the cover names with "Movie-ID" (i.e. 234.jpg, 234-1.jpg etc.) this will solve the renaming problems mentioned above... On the other side it will make the covers unusable for other purposes (other then EMM)... |

Posted - 21 Jan 2003 : 12:32:59 Hi Bourmad,
It's not so easy to do, but I will try. I am sure not for this release, but I have add your suggestion to the "master list" |

Posted - 18 Jan 2003 : 14:09:53 When you create a movie (for example "The Beach"), and imports pictures, each files are called The-Beach.jpg, ... If you rename this movie (for example "Beach, The"), it's not the case actually, but maybe you can rename the cover name field, and all images.
If we imports gif files (it happens sometimes), you rename them to jpg. Can you keep original extension, and search for all files with any extension ? I think it would be better, because if we want to access images directly, we don't know their format. |

Posted - 17 Jan 2003 : 18:48:04 Hi Bourmad,
I have complete this :
->Allow to move an image from a position (8th image for example) to anoter position (1st position for example).
->Allow to delete all pictures from a movie.
I hope to finish also the others things for the next release... |

Posted - 17 Jan 2003 : 11:54:54 For example, you can add these features : - Display more pictures in picture manager (in 2 lines, 3 ilnes) - Allow to move an image from a position (8th image for example) to anoter position (1st position for example). - Allow to delete all pictures from a movie. - Allow to select pictures, move them, delete them...
In my case, I'm importing imdb informations for each movies. Sometimes it imports a lot of pictures (8, 15...) Then, I'm using another script for import better pictures (amazon), but these pictures are at the end. It was annoying to move them as first position.

Posted - 19 Dec 2002 : 14:44:57 Hi bourmad,
You are right, every cover is "linked" with the movie's title, so if you change it and then imoport again more covers you will "lose" the previous covers. I will try to find a better way for do this, I hope to find... |
