I was following the recommendation in the thread about updating IMDB ratings. So I set up the multiple edits and clicked apply and I get the nice window 'performing multiple updates' its very pretty but not very helpful. 10 minutes later its little green bar was still moving back and forward and I have no idea if it is just slow or stuck.
For multiple updates, XMM knows the number of records selected (3100 in my case) and knows how many its processed so can we have a more helpful status bar which starts at 0 and gets to the Right Hand end when the last record is processed.
Thanks.
. . . . . . and now for Task manager and hope my database is OK

Hi!

Sorry for my delay.

I will try to make tests with my DB (1400 entries).

Can you eventually send your database to me?

Alessio

On a quick search, none of the records appear to have been changed
So I started again. this time first 4 records change rating to blank. No problem takes about 1 sec. Select 3000 and after 10 minutes still processing. May be its just very slow?
I'll make the changes in access

My database is 175Mb.
Task manager says XMM has read approximately 500mb and written 250Mb and is still using all of a 2.33 GHz processor. TaskInfo tells me that it is moving about the file but finally seems to spend a lot of its time at position 5451776. But taskmgr tells me its still reading and writing bytes.( Now 800Mb read, 370Mb written)
I guess its stuck
