When importing movies from a hard drive search, can you not just get a quick file listing from the folder search, check that against existing database entried, then get codec info from the remaining files.?

I have over 350 films on my drive. When I have added a few more, I run a search on the entire drive (its easier than remembering which ones). This can take about 5 mintes sometimes, surely this would drop to a matter of seconds by doing it another way.?

Thanks
