After trying out the trailer preview, I am impressed. I'd like to push the limit of XMM to the next level. I am suggesting we have a feature known as "Auto-Load Trailer Preview".
How this new feature works -
Normal mode ----------- 1. Say pressing F12, this will launch trailer preview but 2. the trailer will keep on playing, one after another movie (until the end) or 3. until the preview window is closed or an ESC key is pressed.
Alphabetical or Genre mode -------------------------- 1. If the left view is selected, either in Alphabetical or on a particular type of genre/Personal Rating/Rating or even custom field selected, 2. pressing F12, will launch the all the trailers (if the movie has any of course) in the sequence as shown/selected, until 3. the preview window is closed or an ESC key is pressed.
Future Enhancement ------------------ . Provide support to export the list generated by this Automatic Trailer Preview as something that could be played continuously in Windows Media Player or Real Player (Rhapsody)
I think the normal mode should be quite easy to implement, right ? :)
And the future is endless for XMM with your support ! |

The problem is that i cannot know when the trailer is "finished". So I don't know when "switch" to the next trailer.

Posted - 19 Jun 2007 : 12:32:46 Hi Jamestan,
Good suggestion!! I will try to do it. Btw, it's really hard right now to find good trailer websites (IMDB has now bad links and/or broken).
here is only one website, Italian, that has good trailers, it's mymovies.it
I will try to make soon also a script for lovefilm.com
Thank you!

Posted - 18 Jun 2007 : 02:52:49 Oh ya, and the Auto-Load Trailer Preview should be in full windowed mode , since some web site show the video control not in the middle of the screen or do not use the plugin but the whole HTML page ! :(
Hope you understand what I said. Thanks. |
