Posted - 11 May 2003 : 01:35:36 Hi,
Yes, can be an Idea make also an SerieID, but I think that people will not like all these new fields growing... but I will think for the next release.
Thank you for your appreciation, we really like it

Posted - 10 May 2003 : 23:54:39 Alessio,
How about using a SeriesID, instead of MovieID for the Series. Next a default sort on Year?
This way you can sort on series by SerieID, and it's automaticly sorted on episode?
Rather think than comment on the great work you're doing!
Keep up the great work, I haven't seen a product like this! Have been looking for YEARS to find this!
All the best,

Posted - 10 May 2003 : 20:15:50 Another observation about 1.3
I try to create a NEW database. It creates it in OLD DATABASES.
Then I have to try and CONVERT it. Is this a bug? Surely?
thanks

Posted - 10 May 2003 : 20:13:40 Hmm.. Sorry.. I don't follow you..
The MovieID is not the episode number of the episode is it?
I thought it was just the ID numner of when the file was imported.
For example.. in your example Episode database.
Star trek Voyager : The episode called "Alice"
In the database it is ID 169
It is actually Series 6 Episode 5. (605 or 6x05 etc)
I can see in the databse it is Season 6 But where can I see that it is episode 5 of season 6 ??
Thanks again

Posted - 10 May 2003 : 19:55:31 Yes, it's possible,
just "Sort By : Movie ID" (the "sort by" is the last , under the Movie list).

Posted - 10 May 2003 : 19:47:54 Alessio,
many thanks for the new release.
First comment:
At first glance, it doesn't seem as if I can import :
Series Name, Season, Episode Number, Episode Name
Most TV series are just that : a series.
So people (like me) want to sort them by their episode number so that they can watch them chronilogically. Not, by the title.
Is it possible to do this please? ..
Many Thanks

"MemTronic [PurpleBytes] OOhhh look you have a KOOOL name!" => SURE I have! ...what nobody can say about yours...
"Does this mean you are a Hacker? ...Hey! Kooooooooooolll!!" =>In it's original meaning (Hacker = someone "hacking" permanently his keyboard / mainly coders) = YES!!!
"Where did I criticise a program? Where did I say what i didn't like about a program?" => If YOU don't know what you already have posted here = who else? __ and... simply the TITLE of your post shows that you are SURE NOT the smartest out there... __ "Why Movies????????" ...hehehe __ YOU download a program called "extreme MOVIE Manager" and ask things like that! = HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
"I ASKED if this or any other program did what i wanted." => "Bloody annoying!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" = for you is a QUESTION therefore?! ...mhhhhh...
"If I could code I wouldn't be asking. Would I ? Dohh!" => You simply repeat what I already have said! ...mhhhhhh...
"The two replies I recieved: one from some snotty-nosed little 13 year old hacker..." => As most of those lousy leechers out there = you know nothing about the things you are dependent! __ It simply was a 13 year old "hacker" who made DivX3.0 possible!!! __ It was a 16 year old "hacker" who made DeCSS (decrypting DVDs) possible!!!
people like YOU = would have NOTHING to LEECH WITHOUT those "little hackers" !!! SO = better show some RESPECT to those "little hackers" !!!!
...and btw.: yes... I started in an age of 12... but this was in the early 80's... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! ...and I have coded more different mashines in my life than you have teeth in your mouth!
"... and one from yourself were not exactly encouraging!!" => Your posts are nothing else!
"Have a nice day!" => I most of the time HAVE... beside the days people like you show up in this forum...
so long...

Posted - 03 May 2003 : 19:05:20 Ok,
Maybe I have mis-interpreted your words.
As you can see on this picture, I have already start to work on Serie's Support, and a new Script for TVTOME will be ready with new release :

Many thanks for taking the time to reply to my request.
I feel you have mis-interpreted my use of upper-case letters.
I use them to add emphasis to my strong desire; not to "shout".
Thanks for your invitation to register first.
However, would you buy a computer game before checking it would work with your PC?
The logic is a little twisted.. you tell me the program DOESN'T (emphasis ) do what i want but want me to register it ?????
If you assure me that EMM will be able to do what i want in the future then I am quite prepared to invest the enormous amount of $10.
Please excuse my frustration.. but I look at the download sites.. I look on Kazaa, E-mule, Torrents, XDCCs etc etc and I see thousands andd thousands of people downloading TV episodes.. but all the progs I install don't handle them properly.. it's a little frustrating.
So.. I was genuinely ASKINg *IF* EMM did the thing I wanted or, if not, if you knew of another program that did.
The two replies I recieved: one from some snotty-nosed little 13 year old hacker and one from yourself were not exactly encouraging!!
So.. (again) Does EMM do what I want? If not - Will it do what I want? Any idea when?
I like the program and if I was cataloguing movies it would be ideal. I'll be quite happy to register and reccomend it to all the hundreds of fellow episode collectors (How many Star Trek fans are there in the world ??.. imagine all the $$$$$$$$ !!)
Thanks for your help

Posted - 03 May 2003 : 11:17:16 Hi,
We are working very hard on this : better support TV Series, but it's not simple.
I know that you WANT it, but before use the "capital letters" it's better if you register it and help us. it's too simple only ASK.

Posted - 03 May 2003 : 05:46:52 What I mean is, for example:
The Twilight Zone.
Simple enough.
I have the very first episode. Some people call it 1, 001, 101, 1x01 etc
I know it is called "Where is everybody?"
The best I can get from eMM is a generic input for the whole series. Now there are are 156 episodes in this.
I know where the individual data is on TV Tomes. Every Series has an ID, Every episode has an ID.
This one is: http://www.tvtome.com/tvtome/servlet/GuidePageServlet/showid-237/epid-12585/
On there I can see things like:
1. Where is Everybody? gs: Earl Holliman (Mike Ferris) James McCallion () Jim Johnson () John Conwell () James Gregory (Air Force General) Paul Langton (Air Force Colonel) Jay Overholts (Reporter Two) Carter Mullaly () Gary Walberg ()
Mike Ferris, a man in an Air Force jumpsuit, is all alone in a strange town. He searches all over town trying to find someone. He finally collapses, pushing the "walk button" at a stoplight. The "walk" button is actually a panic button, and Ferris is an astronaut-trainee in an isolation booth. He has been in the booth for 484 hours, and has been hallucinating the whole town.
b: 02-Oct-1959 w: Rod Serling d: Robert Stevens
NOTE: According to Producer William Self, this episode's budget was "around $75,000...in those days very high for a half-hour pilot." This episode was rehearsed and shot in 9 days. It was dubbed, scored and edited in 3 days. This is the only episode to be filmed at Universal Studios. The rest were filmed at MGM studios. The original pilot version of this episode ran a total of 35 minutes (without commercials) and included a "pitch" from Rod Serling aimed at selling the series to potential advertisers. This version is included on volume 43 of Image-Entertainment's DVD collection. In the original version of the episode, the opening sequence was different and all narration was done by Westbrook Van Voorhis. The opening narration in the original pilot version was slightly different than what was used for the series: "There is a sixth dimension, beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the sunlight of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area that might be called 'The Twilight Zone'" The broadcast version of this episode is included on Image-Entertainment's Treasures of The Twilight Zone DVD.
So why can't I get this individual episode information into EMM ?
Why is everything treated like a big Movie???
Can you help? Will this program be capable of doing what I want?
Do you know another prog that will?
I want to use it to catalog EPISODES.
Many thanks for your help.
