When it will be supported to have more that one file to a movie? a lot of my movies is hq and it have 2 or three parts, and when i scan them from my dvd drive - I get instead of one movie with two parts, two movies that each one have one one disc.
for example:
I have DVD and inside
Lucky.Number.Slevin.DVDRip.XviD-PUKKA-CD1
Lucky.Number.Slevin.DVDRip.XviD-PUKKA-CD2
When I imported it, I got that:

I have alot of movies, so do that manually is alot of work, so there is more gentle solution? any script or something?

the problem I have is that it takes the filename from the files? Like I pointed out these often make no sense and hence my suggestion to use folder names. Or I might doing something wrong?

Hi Bart,

Have you try to use the "join" button to merge together the files? Because I have try it and works correctly.

I have the same problem as I now store all my DVDs and AVI files on harddisk. For each movie I create a subfolder. With current hdd capacities a mass import for me can be 10-100 folders / movies.
Currently I create a TXT file directory listing through dos command "dir *.* > movie.txt" and then use this for tekst import in XMM. After that I read in the files. For me this works better than the current hdd import option in XMM where I have to select join option and rename most movies as filenames often contain garbage or hardly recognisable text.
It would be great (it would save me lots of time ;) ) when XMM would have an option to use folder names as movie name and include all videofiles inside that folder (including subfolders contents) for import.

Hi,

There is already a function for these kind of movies (I mean splitted in more thatn one file), just take a look at Video Tutorial MOVIE5.AVI that explain you what you have to do.

Let me know if you have problems!

Alessio
