no bugs yet but did not test above Boxid 999 but i guess thats no problem.
Numbering is correct and works like a charm.
Some suggestions to make it perfect:
- save the CD/DVD drive on exit
- save the last boxid that should come on exit so that on restart the boxid to come is in the box
- scroll down window after adding new movies (you cant see whats been added after the third DVD
- autoread if drive closed after your eject (maybe as option) if empty end. this way you could just put one CD/DVD after the other without having to touch keyboard or mouse. You could check the drivestate every 500ms.
but it works and it its usable now working great.

Hi,
I know that you need it very much, I have already start do work on it, I will release in a week I think.
The function is this : you insert for example the box id number 25 , XMM automatically, everytime you insert a new DVD, will increase this number.
So, the BoxID must be a number, not a letter or others string.
It's OK for you?

no, if you have more than one moviefile on a DVD-R this should prevent you from entering lets say for example 25 shortmovies by hand you can simply pop in the DVD and the multidvd will get the names compression rates AC3 and so on from the DVD. The files will be numbered accordingly (lets say its your DVD 25 all files should have BOXID 25) and thats what is still not working.

I know a lot of people want to have this functionality and I can't understand the use of it. Why do you need this feature and why is it important? If it's something that I could use, maybe I am missing the reason for this feature. I am assuming that it's there so you can have multiple CD cases and you can assign certain CD's per case? Correct?

Alessio, as I feared the BoxID is not set at all, it remains empty. No other bugs, the file informations are read correcty (as i can see that).
Works like a charm just the BoxID, please i would love to use this new feature...

i am not at home so i can test only monday night. As i cried the loudest for this feature i will test it thotoughly. Hope the numbering of the CDBOXID is correct :)
So we can now go to the next great feature i requested:
the mass IMDB update where the data is optionally downloaded at the end. See next post .

K thanks for the advice i will try does it automatically number the CDBOXID correctly ? I doubt that...
Alessio we need that feature soon people are storing more and more on DVD...
please dont want to look for alternatives to EMM as i really like it. |

Hi,
you can to wait this feature, use the add mass files and select your dvd drive. So xmm finds all files on the dvd-r and add the movies. And you do this for each dvd-r.
