Hi Allesio,
It seems the default setting for updating movies etc is to update automatically in the background. I think it would be better to not have this setting checked by default as after I installed the release it started updating all my movies in the background without me realizing the consequences, I use a chain for all my updating...
TMDB, IMDB, Trailer Addict... in that order so IMDB overwrites info from TMDB and Trailer Addict last so it also overwrites any Trailers from YouTube provided by TMDB. My only real reason for having TMDB is to get the fanart which I like on the HTML page.
Before i had realized what was happening 150 movies had been overwritten and now I need to run the Chain/Script again for those movies. Not a big drama but it would have been nice to have had a warning that previously updated/saved movies would/could be affected by allowing the script engine to update in the background.
I love the speed of the new XMM.. I have nearly 2500 movies and 70,000 actors so I am really impressed that now I can show actors pics (in HTML page) and it moves so quickly to the next movie, with XMM7 actors pics had to be disabled to scroll quickly through movies.
Great work mate, seems to be very few bugs, if any.... will the update engine eventually provide an internal browser so as to preview links as XMM7 did without having to open an external browser?

Hello,

You can disable the MagicScript engine directly in the configuration window... this will prevent XMM to start searching for movies.

Actually the only way for preview is by external window, I will try to add an internal one.

Thank you!

Ale
