Posted - 16 Sep 2012 : 18:42:46 I'm not sure if it's on the to do list. But the skins and layout is not being remembered. Card choice and other settings are.
Also how do you set the custom fields or has that not been added yet. Thanks.

Posted - 19 Sep 2012 : 19:58:36 Hi Alessio
My main boot is xp so my directory location is different. C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Binaryworks\XMM8 I have no red warning. I just did some changes now, the config.ini file modified date/time has changed but none of the contents changed. It works if i put the info in the config.ini myself. I think it did work before might have been before Alpha 0.13.
I'll keep testing, i'll go back to win 7 later.(I do have a dual boot, but xp is was i mostly use.)
Thanks.

Posted - 19 Sep 2012 : 19:21:22 Data are saved under this folder:
C:\ProgramData\Binaryworks\XMM8\config.ini
Please open the About Window and take a look if there is a red warning about the Administration rights.
And check also if the config.ini file exist under the folder I wrote.
Please let me know,

Posted - 19 Sep 2012 : 19:18:12 Still can't get any layout changes to save and now even the settings are resetting their self on start-up.
for example i just changed all the default magic scripts to something different but now have reset. That part was working before. I have tested on Windows 7 and also no settings are stored. Is this something that has not been added yet or is the config.ini not updating it self because it's in a hidden directory.
Thanks.
Ps. Quick fix for black and red card change jquery-ui-1.8.14.custom.min.js to jquery-ui-1.8.23.custom.min.js didn't know there was a new one sorry or have a look if you have 1.8.14 in jquery folder. Making changes to both cards, should be ready soon. |

Posted - 17 Sep 2012 : 02:06:32 It's not asking for authentication again on mine. Updated to alpha 3 earlier today still doing the same. All other settings are getting stored except for the skin and how i set the layout.
I still use XP as my main boot so the run as administrator is not the same as Win 7. I did try both current user and following user options. I'll try my win 7 boot and see if it does the same.
Thanks. |

Posted - 16 Sep 2012 : 18:56:35 Just start XMM8 as administrator. Then the skin will be saved. Beside that a question: when you install XMM8 a second time do you have to authenticate again? For me it is so but for other users not. Therefor I'm not sure if it is something in XMM or my Win7 system. |
