i have hd movie collection of 4300movie on 15hard drive
now i have mannually added 30 new movie on my last harddrive ....
make a device scan , found my 30 new movie....
add the new movie ......
i see the new movie adding in my list in the background whit the filesize colum showing all my new movie 0 byte sized (they are no o bytes files).....
and after the device scanner finish is work , all the new movie i have seen be added in my list ...DISAPEARS!!....
i have try whit the last version of xmm and the new version update, and many option changed .....im stuck |

Hard to limit someones importing habits so I can only say what I do myself.
1. different databases for movies and tv shows
2. limiting the amount of actors - maybe in some cases you can import more. For myself I have found that 12 is the right number...
3. don't import the filmography of every actor

update : so i have try whit a fresh database , where all of my movie was , but not imdb searched , the database is only 30megs
and its work ......
so i assume that 4,21gig is the limit of a database , and there is the probleme....
i found it a little anoying , cause i have to re-import all my 4000 movie imdb ,
and less actor , that will cause bad movie link actor with old classic movie ...... will try this ..
thank you to let me find the probleme
do you have any sugestion for the way i should import my imdb stuff the right way?

i cant reimport codec for the o sized movie
cose after the device scanner finishe is work , the newly imported movie whit 0filesive vanished right in front of my face |

i dont put 99actors , pu i think i put 50
....the reason is in some old classic , some very hot actor are not linked in old movie cose is the 45end actor , and its anoying |

i have uninstall the last version , delete my settings , and réinstall extrememm8.4.2.0_64bit
caus there is no 64bits link anymore on your site)
....and the result is the same
i have diferents ziped backup version of my database
one is my complete list of 4300movie , but not imdb serached
filesize of this file is only 30megs
..... im making test whit this database right now |

I don't know if that's the problem for you but I can give everyone the advice to not waste the (I think) 2 GiB limitation of every MS Access database by importing 99 actors per movie. Beside the size you also waste a lot of time for importing.
To your initial question about the 0 byte filesize - please try to reimport the codecs for these movies if the filesize of your db has not exceeded the 2 GiB. And please check if the filetype and codec is ok on them. |

trying uninstall and reinstall , system out of memory (i have7gb) and no drivers telling......
yes i have to install the 64bit version but there is no 64bit version on your website ,
and the actual version said ( faster than 64bit ) ...lol i dont think so |

iam reaaly tired of working weeks and weeks to scan 4000 on 15 hardrive , seach for it on imdb 300 per days .....incredibly long ......and always stuck whit a non-working database ........i tried to make thas shit work for more than 10 years+ now .......can you simply make it work? ........ |

tried diferent things , now the device scanner stuck at the .actors folders in the movie folders which contains .tbn files
if i delete this movie , the device scanner will stock on another .actors movie folder
edit : its semm that the device scanner is not stock , he just finish is scanning work whit NO NEW MOVIE , just like if he added the previously scanned movie , but he not , that juste very anoying |
