Hi,

When I "Add" a new movie, and from the movie editing dialog box click on "www" or "Quick Import", the first time it works as it's supposed to. But if I then add another movie and do the same thing, I get the error "The Engine is working on Actors; can't download information for Movies concurrently".

It is most certainly not working on actors, the engine is shut down (it's not supposed to be importing anything to the Actor's DB, I've disabled that).

I'm using the latest (2.9 build 1) registered version of XMM.

If I close the 'add/edit movie information' dialog and click 'www' on the main toolbar, everything works fine.

Thanks

I got the same behaviour when upgrading to 2.9 (registered). After web-import of one movie, I must restart the program...
:(

Is there anyway of me downloading version 2.8?..i had no problems with that version. Having to keep closing and opening the new version to add a movie is driving me crazy. can anyone help me out?
sukkubus Posted - 29 Sep 2004 : 01:40:22
I have the Same Problem i use the 2.9build 2. If i Dont skip the web import of the actors it works fine.
krayzieportagee Posted - 29 Sep 2004 : 01:19:56
When i add the first movie all is fine. When i add the second weather i use my default script or www it says "engine working on actors" I just uninstalled all of my files and redownloaded the full 2.9build 2 and still have the same problem.
Juaner Posted - 29 Sep 2004 : 00:50:15
ok, let's go, i do this:
1. I add a new movie.
2. Press F5 to import with my default script and then i save (by using the "save information" button).
3. I add another movie.
4. Press F5, got a "engine is working on actors" error and the option it doesn't work again unless i restart xmm.

The normal import by using the www button works fine :) Tomorrow i will try in another 2 pcs. if it helps you i'm using windows XP SP1. may be a problem with some windows installs and not with the code of xmm?

Hi Guys,

Please explain better the problem.

I have follow the instruction of gvoros, but all is OK in my PC.

I add a new movie, press the quick import button, after import I add a new movie and press again the quick button. All seem to be OK.

I think I am blind , please write the right sequence again.

Sorry for all these problems!
