Posted - 28 Sep 2009 : 23:13:40 Hello, I have a problem on updating the covers on the shelves view. It seems to be on movies that did not have the proper cover at first and which I edit to copy paste the good one. The cover does not want to appear correct on the shelves view though it appears correctly on the pop up tip when mouse passes over the movie. It remains the wrong one on the shelves even after refresh or start over XMM System : WinXP release : 7.0.5.0
did this happen to any of you ? thank you for your answers |

Posted - 30 Sep 2009 : 06:37:34 Hi Guys,
I need to work much on shelves view.
Basically the solution is to delete the files inside _thumbnail subfolder, in order to force XMM to rebuild it.
I will try to fix this.

Posted - 29 Sep 2009 : 22:34:47 hi there
yea i had this happen to me too, when i loaded my movies into the program for some reason i got the cover from The Rocker on all of the movies i have on my server, thats over 700 movies of the same pic.
I did the imdb update to get the info and found the same problem you just posted about (The cover does not want to appear correct on the shelves view though it appears correctly on the pop up tip when mouse passes over the movie.)
The way i fixed it was to go into the xxxxxxx_thumbs folder in windows explorer and have it to show thumbnails, xxxx's being the database name, then delete the pic's that are not the right ones.
Then load up the bookshelf and click refresh and it should get the right ones.
Also the other thing i did after reinstalling cause i thought the program might be bugged was to add movies to a database, then load up bookshelf to see if i got those pics again then went in to that folder and the xxxxxxx_cover folder and delete them then did a imdb update or one that you like to use to get the info and pics and then the right pics will be there.
Hope this helps some :)
P.S. i just found i had Blue Collar Comedy Tour One For The Road and THE WOMEN both showing the rocker cover, once done what i said THE WOMEN still showed the rocker so just close the bookshelf and reopen it will fix that after you have done what i said :) |
