Posted - 23 Sep 2009 : 05:50:07 I tried using the complete IMDB and complete AMAZON movie lookup feature and came across a rather frustrating problem (bug?). out of 1,000 movies it has identified about 200 as being either house bunny or Dou fo sin? movies like "Eagle Eye (2008)" gets identified as "Dou fo sin" and when i tried to have it re-identified by changing the title of IMDB direct link to what it should be then rerun the scripts it reidentifies it (and others) as "Dou fo sin". I deleted the misidentified movies from the database then re-scanned and some of them were correctly identified... Also, I wanted to set it to manually prompt me to select with movie a file is but the settings (under options -> settings -> magic script) "when importing take the first direct link" and "if no direct links..." seem to be ignored, i have deselected those options but it still will not prompt me to select the correct movie from a list, it continues to look for a direct link and automatically moves to the next movie if no direct link is found.
If this is not a bug but something that I appear to be doing wrong I wold appreciate being pointed in the right direction!
Cheers

Please go in the Script Selection, select IMDB and click on the right button to show all options.
Now, in the script options, you can see an option called "use intelligent directlink engine" and disable it, probably is not so smart

do you have this problem also if you use IMDB only?
Another thing: please try to add a new movie in the db, tomcat for example, and then import with imdb without fill any field by yourself.
Sorry for these questions but I really cannot replicate the problem

I have this problem with IMDB and Amazon (I haven't tried others yet). As for importing with IMDB without filling in a field is actually what i have tried to do but can't it refuses to ask me to select; when i try t import it with IMDB/Amazon (that is selecting the movie with with just the title feild [taken from the file name] filled in) that is when it identifies lots of the different movie files as being totally different movies.
As for the questions, no problem, i just appreciate you help!
Cheers

I need to know a thing. Please go in the import window, Script section.
Now Press the button to right to show all options. I need to know if the checkbox under the textbox with script info are checked or not.
Thank you,
Ale
Hi Ale,
If i understand correctly, i looked and the first option "skip search if no direct link is found" is indeed checked; but the other three options (automatically take first directly link, automatically skip if there are no direct links, skip automatically if there are more than one link) are not checked. Also, since i made this post yesterday about 40+ movies have been identified as the movie "role models"; example movies like "tomcats (2001)" and "van wilder (2002)" were identified as the movie "role models". Ironically, it did not identify the actual "Role models" movie (left it blank). Any ideas/fixes would be appreciated!
Cheers
