Posted - 29 Jun 2009 : 18:19:59 Just today I stumbled upon on this folder in XMM folder structure, and lo and behold, it had about 13000 (!) temp files for covers totaling over 870 Mb! And after some test it appears a NEW temp file is created EVERY time you click some new movie in the list. That would be no problem if they were cleaned up after certain threshold, be it size of the temp dir or time passed... I consider this to be a rather serious bug, as the disc space is getting wasted and also severely fragmented. And the worst thing is that you even don't know what is happening...

Sorry for my late reply!
This folder is used to load images more quick when XMM works, and should be automatically cleared. I will try to find the bug why is not performed.

I have this folder too C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\My Documents\eXtreme Movie Manager 7\tempdir\images and it does have a few MB in it..looks like a storage for actors images too.. I guess we could clean it on a regular basis if needed? I have set my system and user variables for temp to C:\Temp and tweaked everything else to put temp files in there. Then the content just gets deleted on the regular cleanup. If this is just a "temp" maybe under file maintenance we could have a button to clean it too? or set the app to use the system\user variable for temp?
... And maybe the program should clean behind itself :) I don't want to loose my precious time doing the thing it should be already be doing.

I don't think a temp directory with 1500 files is normal. That's why it's called a temp(orary) directory ;)
