Posted - 25 Apr 2009 : 23:00:22 I have similar problem in a Win xp 32 bit Parallels virtual machine
when I open the old db, XMM start to convert database. When in the database converter window come out the message "Copy Table:BoxSets", in the lower left part of the main window the error message "3704-Operation is not allowed when the object is closed..." came up and blink slowly, like the program continues to work and get this error continuosly. In the meanwile the db size grow... any suggestion? I have tried to force stop but i have noticied a loss of complete records or just randomized values in different fieds...
Thanks
Claudio

Posted - 25 Apr 2009 : 07:52:59 Hi Veikko,
If the conversion is finally finished, please download the latest release and try to convert your old database again. Just to see if the problems was related to data-fields.
You can install the new release in a new folder just to make the test and then delete it.

Posted - 24 Apr 2009 : 20:39:26 Now it blinks a few errors can't see the other one but one is
"3219- operation is not allowed in this context"
/ Now it seems to be done the new DB isn't getting bigger anymore its now 2.1GB. Main window blinks that above error.
// I see something like "... generated errors. Check each OLE DB status value" |

Posted - 24 Apr 2009 : 19:08:15 "3704-operation is not allowed when object is closed ..."
Now it has beeing crunching it for 4½ hours and the new DB is 1.9GB |

Posted - 24 Apr 2009 : 17:30:49 Really too much time and size I think...
Did you see any error message in the main window toolbar?

I had done that before I tried to convert the database.
// I did it again and it seems to be work on it, just takes forever.
Is the new DB supposed to be way bigger than the old one ? |

Posted - 23 Apr 2009 : 16:31:37 Mine stops too after awhile too.
I see an error "3265-Item cannot be found in the collection corresponding to the requested name or ..." down on the main window.
I have quite a large db so it could be that (580mb). It seems to go through all movies and then that Database Converter window sits there. Only thing I can do is to close the whole xmm from Task Manager.

Posted - 22 Apr 2009 : 12:26:26 Hi,
can you send to me your "old" database? To see what cause the problem.
Thank you!
