A few (most likely related) issues with thumbnail view:
(1) While generating thumbnails for the first time using Thumbnail View button a "unhandled exception" ("not enough memory") popped up. The exception occurs again with pictures XMM "dislikes" - also when scrolling within thumbnail subwindow.
(2) After switching Thumbnail view off and on again, the thumbnail scan stops at 200 pictures. The scan progress window remains open and cannot get closed except by using the "X"-window button --> the message "Please Wait, Searching Images ... 200" stays visible (just the rest of the progress window disappears). Thumbnails can get switched off and on afterwards but no thumbnails are shown anymore.
(3) Restarting XMM brought thumbnail view back but still with some pictures I got the out of memory error and XMM grabs all physical and most of my swap memory and does not release it anymore until exit. I would expect that at least after swithing thumbs view off again the memory gets freed up.
Assumption: I have a few covers which originate from "press folders" and are quite large. It looks like the program stumbles upon those files (failing to extract the bitmap which may be huge...).
